To assign you surveys we need to know a few things about you. And because that data is yours, European law gives you full control over it. At encuentaspagadas.com we operate under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), one of the strictest privacy frameworks in the world. Here we explain, in plain terms, what rights you have and how to exercise them.

What data of yours we handle (and what we do not)

We apply the principle of data minimisation: we only ask for what is essential to assign you studies. Your demographic profile is four fields: year of birth, gender, country and postcode. We do not need — or ask for — your bank account, your ID document or passwords to other services. Payments run through PayPal, so your financial data never passes through us.

Your rights, one by one

  • Access. You can find out what data we hold about you.
  • Rectification. You can correct it at any time from your profile.
  • Erasure («right to be forgotten»). You can delete your account and your data.
  • Objection and restriction. You can object to certain processing or ask for it to be limited.
  • Withdrawal of consent. You can unsubscribe from emails or from the platform whenever you want, without giving reasons.
  • Portability. You can request your data in a reusable format.

These are not courtesies on our part: they are legal obligations we are glad to meet.

How to exercise them

The most common ones you do yourself from your account: correcting your data in your profile, unsubscribing from emails using the link in each message, or closing your account. For more formal requests (full access, portability or complete erasure), you can contact us and we handle them within the timeframes the law requires.

What we do with your answers

Your survey answers are used in aggregate in the studies: brands see group statistics («62% preferred option A»), not a dossier about you as an individual. The industry follows professional standards from bodies like ESOMAR, which require that separation between research data and your identity. We share your demographic profile with the study providers only with your explicit consent, something we explain clearly, not hidden on page 40 of the terms.

Frequently asked questions

What rights do I have over my survey data?

Access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, withdrawal of consent and portability. These are rights guaranteed by the GDPR that you can exercise whenever you want.

Can I delete all my data?

Yes. You have the right to erasure: you can close your account and ask for your data to be deleted. You can also withdraw your consent at any time.

What data of mine is collected exactly?

Only four demographic fields: year of birth, gender, country and postcode, plus your email and username for the account. Never bank details or passwords to other services.

Can brands identify me from my answers?

No. Results are used in aggregate: brands see group statistics, not individual dossiers. That separation is an industry standard.

How do I exercise my rights?

The most common (correcting data, unsubscribing, closing the account) you do from your account. For formal requests you can contact us and we handle them within legal timeframes.
